Since Thanksgiving is an American holiday and it’s only ever on a Thursday I’m usually at work. Instead of celebrating on Thursday my friend picks a Saturday in November and throws a massive party! I’m usually in charge of desserts of course! This year I made this Chocolate Pumpkin Pie and also a Pumpkin Layer Cake. If chocolate isn’t your thing I made a Pumpkin Pie with a Crunchy Pecan Topping last year.

Washington DC Cupcakes & Treats

Washington DC! Capital of the great USA and also a serious contender for Cupcake Capital of America! I have never been to a city with so many cupcakeries!  DC sets the bar pretty high. Nearly all of the cupcakes we ate were amazing!

I’m afraid to tally how many cupcakes I ate in the four days we were there. This is a super long post due to all the cupcakes we ate.

Portland Maine is next up! We went here for an afternoon. It was an absolutely gorgeous day! It’s a great city to spend the day in. We didn’t get any further than Portland but I also read that Cape Elizabeth is lovely too.

I went to visit my sister in Manchester, New Hampshire which was the beginning of a two-week cupcake adventure! Manchester has its own brand new cupcakery, Queen City Cupcakes.
